Wexford Festival Opera may be over for another year, but the doors of the critically acclaimed Wexford Opera House remain open!
Ireland’s cultural landscape has been magnificently transformed now that An Taoiseach, Mr. Brian Cowen, has officially opened the country’s first custom-built Opera House in Wexford.
(Thursday, 14 August 2008) Due to an overwhelming response from the public, Wexford Opera House announces extended opening hours for their ‘Open-Day’ which takes place on Sunday 7 September 2008. Shortly after the release of tickets the free event was completely sold out, prompting the management of Wexford Opera House to extend the Open Day by a further 3 hours. Now 300 more people can view Wexford’s state-of-the-art Opera House. Tours will now run for a full 12 hours from 9.00am to 9.00pm on Sunday 7 September 2008, with the last tour taking place at 8.00pm.
